Editorial policy
How we write
what we publish.
Who writes our guides
Guides and insights are written or edited by named people with real experience of the gambling industry, starting with our editor, Steve Evans. Every page shows who is responsible for it and when it was last updated.
Sources
Rules are taken from primary sources: the regulator’s own guidance, legislation and official codes. Commercial practice is taken from the published terms of real affiliate programmes. Each guide lists its sources at the end. Where something can’t be verified, we leave it out rather than guess.
No invented numbers
We don’t publish made-up statistics, customer counts, testimonials or ratings. Product screens on this site are illustrative and are labelled as such. Example deal terms are labelled as examples.
Both sides
Where a topic affects operators and affiliates differently, we cover both and link the two. We critique processes, not people or named companies.
Not legal advice
Our guides explain how rules and common practice work. They aren’t legal, tax or compliance advice for your situation. Regulations change and differ by market: check the regulator’s current guidance, and take professional advice before acting.
Use of AI
We use software tools, including AI, to help research and draft. Every published page is checked against its sources and reviewed by a named editor before it goes live, and the editor is responsible for it.
Corrections
If you spot an error or something that has changed, email hello@bestforboth.com. We correct factual errors promptly and update the page’s “updated” date.
Independence
BOTH is a platform for operators and affiliates, so we have a commercial interest in this market. We don’t accept payment to include, rank or favour any operator, affiliate or vendor in our guides.
